Does ayn rand's writing seem unbearably gray to anyone else?

As in Atlas Shrugged or one of her other works? She's a bit of an acquired taste. She didn't like using pointless, flowery descriptors to detract from the narrative as in most writings of faux-intellectuals. I don't completely agree with her philosophy of Objectivism either. But she is still an excellent writer in my opinion. To each their own, brother.
