Dont you feel bad for those who are painfully shy?

I feel like your just looking on the outside of this "painfully shy" person. I mean, I'm pretty shy..and I hate meeting new people. But I date, I do have friends, and I do go out. What your seeing when you look at this painfully shy person is their awkwardness, which, I will admit does stand out a bit. But honestly, people who are that shy, just don't want to be embarrassed..I know I get embarrassed about the simplest things like reading my card outloud in a game of 'apples to apples'. You really are misunderstanding shy people, they just get nervous.
