Help me with my drab hairdo?

ok, so I'm fourteen living with single DAD. We don't have a lot of money. I have dark brown, straight hair that touches my shoulders with side swept bangs. I'm going to be a freshman next year so I need some new hair ideas. how can i spice up my boring hair without any sprays, creams, or accessories?
