How to repaint/restain my concrete stairs to my front door?

I have 4 steps and a small platform before entering my front door (all concrete). What are the best products or method to make my concrete entrance more inviting? The cement is dark, drab, and UGLY. I'm hoping to make my white house with black shutters and black door "pop" a little. Any suggestions?
